"Dear to LOVE again"

LOVE, oh dear not that subject again.....
Come on, lets be honest, who's thinking this? The thing is,  it's February meaning Valentines Day fever, soooooooo, no matter how much you may try to run away from this word or topic, you really can't.

If the stores don't keep reminding you, then when you walk down the street each couple will do so, as they hold each others hands or give each other a long meaningful hug.

Ha ha ha, how crazy can love be? Come on, it's not that bad, really, or is it?

Some of you like myself have been scared by this four letter word, whether it was invested into someone through a relationship, family member or just a friendship, that completely didn't work out as you hoped it to be.

But I'm here to suggest that you learn to forgive and LOVE again. It's not over until you allow yourself to block out all the care, hope & love others genuinely try to show you. Don't end up feeling lonely like no-one cares because you turned your back on love.

Isn't it funny how you can be loved struck one day and then a hater of love the next day. Why? Because let's be real....You got hurt through the Love process and possibly feel betrayed by love. But I always say, if the love given to you was real, surely it would not have failed?

So I ask, what is love really all about? Is it just a feeling? Or maybe its more than that, is it a feeling that runs so deep for another that you will do anything for them? Is it new found hope, that something beautiful is being revealed or developed? Or can we say it's unconditional, like what Our Heavenly Father demonstrates & provides towards each and everyone of us?

This is how the Bible describes love:

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails......(1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

Reading that, does it make you feel like you have never really been in love or loved someone before? I know in many aspects I may have failed in some of the areas listed above, be it with my friends, family or even in relationships. But I am finally glad to say I now know how to love better. Why? Because I've learnt and is still learning what LOVE truly is from the master of all love: Jesus Christ.

Through Christ's unconditional love I had to realise no matter what I did, how I behaved or even thought, He still loved me. When I turned away and even when I made mistakes He still loved me. Even now I feel truly blessed to finally know of His love. Knowing this & also believing this, just completes me. Awwww what a great feeling. And you best believe it reaches to you too.

Ladies we got to remember, people can always fail us, because as I've mentioned before, we are all humans. We cannot master the true meaning of love if we do not know what Love truly is ourselves. The same with ourselves, we cannot be able to love others, if we first do not love ourselves. Love can be tested, it can be trialled, but the question is what is the final outcome, is it deserted or is it developed into something even more beautiful like a wedding, a best friend or just a great companion/listener/supporter?

I love the way Kirk Franklin & Nu Nations puts it : 'Love a word that comes and goes, though few people really know, what it means to really love somebody....' (Full song below: in Video form)

Right before we say the four letter word, we should be portraying it through our actions, our words and our deeds. No-one needs to come to us and tell us, you need to love more, instead they will be able to see Christ love reflect in us unto them and smile saying: Thank you for showing me so much love when you didn't have to. That's right, I believe LOVE is a CHOICE. You either are going to love on someone or hate on them. Christ tells us to love one another (1 John 4:7) Therefore which do you choose?

For me, loving someone is far better than hating them. Why would you even put yourself in that position of negativity? No matter what has been done to you to scar you of receiving unconditional/ real love, know that its not over.  And there is still room to be healed and to be most of all loved. You just have to believe and be patient with it.
Love conquerors so much. If we as individuals can only just learn more of how to love others in the right way, I believe this world will be a better place.

Think about how many smiles you would be able to see daily, or how many supporting neighbours will be around, what about the amount of freedom and peace there will be given to each person based on yours and others token of love.

Your love counts and so does others... Lets start sharing the love and start a LOVE revolution, so that people will no longer need to ask: ' Where is the love'?
