Speak A New 2019

Image
Following on from the success of our 2018 SPEAK LIFE NOW event, I want to leave you with a final thought… what LIFE will you speak in 2019? If you haven’t already, have a read of the event’s reflection by our wonderful Rachel (it was great!) You can find this reflection on our news feed link below:  Reflection of our SLN - Fully loaded 3.11.18  After experiencing intimate and powerful times of worship, good fellowship and discussions about speaking life in ALL areas of our lives (mindset, lifestyle, decisions, etc,), let us prepare the ground from now and make any necessary changes. "Proverbs 18:21  (ESV) Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits." Let us walk into the new year with a renewing mindset, cleansed heart and a mouth that will only speak goodness over us and our lives. Tell me something good!

Image
There’s a scene in the film Me Before You , I hope this isn’t a spoiler for any of you, when Lou says to Will, “tell me something good, ” . Without going into too much detail, Lou is upset and struggling to come to terms with what will become of her life due to present circumstances pertaining to Will, but Lou looks to Will for a Word. She was looking for a WORD in her time of need (circumstances). This captivated me as it prompted me to ask that same question to God, “tell me something good.” It provoked the thought of What Word do I look to God for in circumstances? Can I recall them in times of need? Do I believe and treasure them at all times? Like Lou, when you’re going through a rough time What Word from God do you stand on? Do you even have a Word to stand on? This is re...

I am not going to complain!

Or are you the one that has an amazing day indoors, but until you step outdoors, walk into your work building, prepare lunch, dinner etc you open your mouth and then the complaining begins? I think we  can   all agree with the fact that we shouldn't be complaining amount many things that we tend to complain about these days. Task See if any of these complaints sound familiar to you:   If it is not about the weather, we complain about our look, if its not about our look for the day, week, month, it will be about someone chewing so loud on the train, bus or in the canteen, if its not our kids running around or constantly asking questions, its our mums or little sisters/brothers calling us to take them somewhere or pick them up. How many of these complaints rang a bell in your world? ...

'Let It Go'

Image
Sometimes we like to hold unto things so tightly that at times the best thing to do is to just let go. What I'm I talking about? Past hurts, pains, shame, guilt, clothes/materialistic things, unhealthy relationships or even spoken words. Letting something go is like saying goodbye to a place, a city that you know you will not return to, and I really believe that we should and must do that especially with the past hurts or even present pain we may be feeling today. We sometimes ask ourselves, Why are we still hurting? Why are we  not over our ex/s? or Why is a certain guilt still being held over our heads? The truth is this, we are giving more power and authority to the negative attitude than the positive one of moving forward, which not only drags us down, but allows the enemy more ammunition to play with our minds, and to also get into our deep thoughts, so before we know it, we then start to ask questions such as some or even more of the ones listed abo...
