Finally I See

Everyone has had scars. A time back when you were little you fell over and hurt yourself days down the line the wound healed but left a scar. It was always the deeper more serious wounds that stayed for years, even though the event was when you were weeny you still look back on that scar and the memories haven't left the feeling of the pain and how it happened. Sometimes the memories behind those scars even bring us shame and hurt today. Childhood scars are not all that serious when we know it was caused by riding our bikes to fast, scrapping our legs on the pavements etc, we get over them soon enough and tell of our careless fall and even laugh at the memories even though at the time we cried. However, as we continue in life some scars are more serious than others. Some scars we would rather hide than it bring back memories of the pain of a traumatic experience, one we don't want to remember or share. Anyway, t he reason why I am bringing up the subject of love again is because as on my journey to work this morning, sitting on the train I remembered what my cousin and I was talking about last night. We really took time to listen to each other and ended our conversation with the conclusion that above all that we face or may go through, We need to know about God's love . How many times do we feel like God is somewhat mad at us, like He has cast us so far away and forgotten about us? I know I haven't written a blog for a while, but there has been many things going on at the same time starting from: work, family, friends and just good old life related. But as we all know, time waits for no man, so we got to tackle whatever we got to face and keep on going: So here's today's blog: STOP! What is the first thing that comes to mind when this word is said? To me the word  STOP  can be explained  differently  based on any situation we come across. The Thesaurus defines the word STOP as: Termination, Conclusion, End, Finish. For the above definitions I would like to look at the word STOP in the aspect of: Loneliness, Addictions, Excuses, Pity Parties and Singleness. See the thing is; in all the actions we take in life to compensate for being in a relationship, feeling stronger, bolder or even just confident and fearless can become an obstacle to moving forward. LOVE , oh dear not that subject again..... Come on, lets be honest, who's thinking this? The thing is,  it's February meaning Valentines Day fever, soooooooo, no matter how much you may try to run away from this word or topic, you really can't. If the stores don't keep reminding you, then when you walk down the street each couple will do so, as they hold each others hands or give each other a long meaningful hug. Ha ha ha, how crazy can love be? Come on, it's not that bad, really, or is it? Some of you like myself have been scared by this four letter word, whether it was invested into someone through a relationship, family member or just a friendship, that completely didn't work out as you hoped it to be. But I'm here to suggest that you learn to forgive and LOVE again. It's not over until you allow yourself to block out all the care, hope & love others genuinely try to show you. Don't end up feeling lonely like no-on...

  How often do we seek others approval? We work the hardest we can, pray the longest we can pray, try the hardest we can try, only for that person or people to not accept us or appreciate the things we do. The job is either given to the next person who didn't work as hard as you. The guy goes for the girl who looks bigger, taller or shorter than you. What then do you do next? Ladies, at this point we have to realise we can't keep trying to seek men's approval because men (people) are indecisive. One day they are up and the next day they are down. One day they may like you & promise you the world, the next day they can dislike you & all promises once made doesn't exist any more. But for me personally, the only person I have daily learnt to lean on is Jesus Christ . He is unshakeable , unmovable and unconditional . This isn't some religious talk, it's truth from the heart talk. Let's face the facts, at least I know when He promises you...

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from ourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast." Ever wondered how and why you are blessed to see another day? Or is it just a normal routine that you feel you blend into: go to sleep and just wake up to see another new day? For me, its more than that. When you hear the statistics of people not waking up in a day, or families where tragic things happen overnight. It makes you stop and think. Wait a minute that could have happened to me or my family....And to tell you the truth, things like that have happened in my household before. But thanks be to God for healing and being able to see other peaceful days. It gets to a point where you can say freely,  'I am actually grateful and blessed to see another day' and just smile with it. God's grace is truly amazing.
