Finally I See

We at  Beautiful Faces Ministries  would like to wish you all and your families the best for this special Christmas season. Many of you may be rushing around getting the first or putting the final touches on each Christmas presents for loved ones. But in the mist of the chaos, let's not forget what the true meaning of Christmas is all about..... Isaiah 9:6 best explains it ' For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.. .' Jesus is the reason for this season. Coming into this world with nothing physically, but entering in with great things spiritually....what are these things? Ever wondered how and why you are blessed to see another day? Or is it just a normal routine that you feel you blend into: go to sleep and just wake up to see another new day? For me, its more than that. When you hear the statistics of people not waking up in a day, or families where tragic things happen overnight. It makes you stop and think. Wait a minute that could have happened to me or my family....And to tell you the truth, things like that have happened in my household before. But thanks be to God for healing and being able to see other peaceful days. It gets to a point where you can say freely,  'I am actually grateful and blessed to see another day' and just smile with it. God's grace is truly amazing. Don't these shoes look awesome? Well, their not mines, they belong to my cousin Mary. The thing is I look up to my big cousin, and as high as these heels are she glides with ease. However with me on the other hand, it takes some time, uncomfortable feelings & sometimes pain, (hey, don't judge me, yes, I'm still learning to walk in heels). The thing is, I wanted to be just like her and walk in all these glamour heels. And at the age of 20/21, I dated this guy who liked his ladies in heels. And yes I liked him at the time, so I wanted to please him. My next actions was going into Top Shop and buying a pair of boot heels. I still remember them till today, they looked cute from the outside, black & sophisticated, but boy once they went on maybe half an hour, they began to hurt. I would not even do the honours of looking in the mirror to tell myself this, but I was constantly thinking this whilst wondering will someone ever love me?
