Relationships are one of the most precious things we have in life. They are simply a connection, association or involvement between people. The ability to speak to someone about our lives; about what’s going on with us. This can be shared about the ins and outs of what we have and been through, things that bother us, successes, emotional tangents, our good days, our dark days… it’s endless; but something so key to our humanity. We often take forgranted relationships. We can misunderstand, mis-judge, de-value or de-prioritise someone’s ability to listen, offer counsel, advise, encourage, speak truth, shed light on what we may or may not see, educate us; change and challenge our perspectives… again the list is endless. But if we look at some parts of our lives we will tend to find that our circumstances and situations sometimes get the better of us. We get in the way of our relationships and they change. Some of you may have come across this above iconic symbol and wondered what it is all about. As you stood or walked down the escalators at the train station, it smiled at you. As you sat on the train it looked at you wanting your attention. As you paid for your groceries it waved a simple hello at you as it sat on the counter. But for others you may not have seen it before. So what is this iconic symbol and why would it be posted or advertised everywhere ? This picture above somewhat explains it all....lol well part of it. For some of you reading this, you may look at the title of this blog and say that's the most simplest, dumbest thing to say Faith. Of course you should know who you are, right? Wrong! To me those four words are the most precious, heartfelt, revelation, inspiring, encouraging words I could ever say to myself and hear others say about themselves too. For many of years I had battled with trying to find out what my identity was. I knew all the facts and figures: born into an African family, one of the two girls, three brothers, mum and dad and the list goes on, obvious FACTS. But the truth was that in the mist of all this I still didn't really know who I was and from that I somewhat was easily able to be swayed into trying others identity through the way they talked, dressed or behaved and only to see if it was something I was into or wanted to adapt to, to say, yes, finally I have arrived, 'this is me'. As we come to a close for this month & year of 2013 what type of memories does it hold for you? Do you have more low moments than high ones? Or were you faced with challenges that helped you to grow into becoming a better person? Whatever your answer will be regarding the above, I want you to take something away from it all. Every setback, every obstacle, every pain, lost of even feared actions at times, does not defeat you, if you learn to see them for what they are and walk forward in victory of conquering it. Following the amazing talks I listened to by Christine Caine over the weekend on her recent visit to Hillsong London. I have been inspired to continue this expression of gratitude and revelation through my blog today. For many parts of my early adulthood life I was living in the ' There '. What is the first thing that comes to mind when this word is said? To me the word  STOP  can be explained  differently  based on any situation we come across. The Thesaurus defines the word STOP as: Termination, Conclusion, End, Finish.
