Finally I See

Many of you may be rushing around getting the first or putting the final touches on each Christmas presents for loved ones. But in the mist of the chaos, let's not forget what the true meaning of Christmas is all about..... Isaiah 9:6 best explains it ' For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.. .' Jesus is the reason for this season. Coming into this world with nothing physically, but entering in with great things spiritually....what are these things? For me, its more than that. When you hear the statistics of people not waking up in a day, or families where tragic things happen overnight. It makes you stop and think. Wait a minute that could have happened to me or my family....And to tell you the truth, things like that have happened in my household before. But thanks be to God for healing and being able to see other peaceful days. You Are Not Forgotten by: Israel Houghton It's easy to walk around with your head held down thinking you are forgotten.  You long for a great relationship, someone to love you, notice you, a child or just peace of mind, but it seems like everyone else around you is being blessed with all your hearts desires. I Trust You . Such powerful words to exchange, to let someone know that no matter what happens, what is said, what is done, you trust them. How many times has these powerful words been abused, taken for granted or felt like they have been trampled on? I've had my share of people breaking my trust a few times. I was not impressed at all. But at the end of the day I had to learn either to walk away from that person or forgive that person especially if they genuinely didn't mean to misuse my trust. Which one do you choose? The famous saying: ' It takes years to build up trust and only seconds to destroy it.' I've always said to actually trust someone is to believe in them, believe in your relationship with each other knowing that they will not do anything intentionally to hurt you.  But the reality about it all, is that we are all just humans , we fail at times and we are not God! Where do I begin? To me this subject is always a sensitive one. This topic along with other subjects was discussed in my church Pastorate (Bible group) a few days ago and yes we had a few people (women) ask majority of the single, dating questions. Surprise, Surprise. See the thing is, what does being a single woman actually mean? To me, being single means not married yet. Then you might ask, what about Dating? Dating means, being interested in someone who might potentially become your partner, that is to say you ‘like’ them; if not you move unto the next one (this can be very dangerous). But Biblically speaking, dating didn't exist.  Plain and simple . Therefore I go back to my first example: Single means ‘NOT’ married. Being single for me has had its lows & highs. You may be a humble person to appreciate what you get even if it’s not how you hoped it to be and then just settle down knowing deep down inside, you could have got or done more. It's about time we took greater steps of hope in believing, even if you haven't got that thing or conquered that situation as you hoped to, the next time  YOU WILL . There are great things to achieve in this world that we live in. We just need to stop settling and start claiming... After hearing some unpleasant news from my mum last night. My first reaction was Godddd, really I just don't get it. We serve you, try to walk faithful with you & this happens? Now for those who knows a little bit about my family history, knows we had a lot shake my family from my parents health, lack of jobs, finances issues etc...But the only thing we knew how to do is cling unto God. So when you hear me mention Him a lot I express my true relationship with Him, this isn't 'religion' speaking but saved by GRACE speaking. So I woke up this morning had one of those conversations with God, where I just talked, spoke His promises & just prayed...my house at this moment felt so gloom the dim lights didn't help... But in the mist of this battle, in the mist of this lady almost giving up, feeling she'd had enough...I step out my front door & was welcome with a bright day , a fresh smile from Heaven as the clouds opened up....what was this?
